Laura (Wolff)
Trzybinski, a former LSSC swimmer (1993-1998), returned as
Head
Coach in August, 2009. Laura has coached at multiple
levels – college, high school and age group, most recently
coaching with the Ohio State Men’s Swim Team and Upper
Arlington Swim Club. Before joining the staff at OSU,
Trzybinski was the Head Men’s and Women’s
Swimming/Diving Coach at Canisius College, in Buffalo, NY from
2004-2008. Other coaching positions include, Head Coach for St.
Joseph Academy in Cleveland and Assistant Coach at St. Joseph
Collegiate Institute in Buffalo, NY.
Laura graduated from St.
Bonaventure University in 2003. She was team captain for the
Bonnies her senior year, and earned 3 varsity letters during her
college swim career. A 1999 graduate of Magnificat High School in
Rocky River, Laura was an eight-time high school All-American and
team captain for the Blue Streaks. She was also awarded the Archie
Griffin award in 1999. A former Lake Shore Swimmer, Laura competed
on the LSSC National Team.
Laura resides in Avon
Lake, OH with her daughter Adella (Ellie). Up next for Coach
Laura....finishing her master’s in early childhood education,
and beginning a master’s in sports administration.
Josh Brown
Head Junior Group Coach

Josh Brown is
in his seventh year coaching with Lake Shore Swim Club. In addition
to coaching at LSSC, he has coached for six seasons with
RRHS. Prior to joining LSSC, Josh coached for five years with
Bay Recreation.
Josh attended high
school at Bay Village where he participated in soccer and
swimming. Josh was a stand-out soccer player for Bay, earning
1st team All Cleveland and Defensive Player of the Year in
Cleveland. For swimming, he was a team captain for Bay, a
sectional and district qualifier, and also a part of the SWC
Championship Team in 2001. He continued playing soccer his
freshman year of college.
Josh graduated in 2009 from Cleveland State University
with a degree in Chemistry, and is currently pursuing a
Masters of Education. He currently resides in Bay
Village. Josh is the proud father of a dog named Pre and
enjoys running and competing in triathalons.
Jessica Dye
Ass't Coach: Junior Group
Email
Jessica joined our coaching staff in April, 2010. She
attended Twinsburg High School and earned a 4-year letter in both
cross-country and track. She was captain of both teams her
senior year, a regional qualifier in cross country (senior year),
and helped both teams win their conference her senior year.
The swimming program began at Twinsburg during Jessica's junior
year and she served as team captain both her junior and senior
years.
Jessica's coaching career began with the Twinsburg Tigersharks
Youth Team (2005-2007). She was the Twinsburg High
School assistant swim coach from 2005-06 thru 2008-09; and the
Westlake High School assistant coach / acting head coach in
2009-10.
Jessica attended Mount Union College and graduated with a
Bachelor of Arts Degree in Middle Childhood Education. She
currently teaches 6th grade at Parkside Intermediate School in
Westlake. She enjoys running and participating in local races
and 1/2 marathons. She is scheduled to participate in her
first full marathon on October. In her downtime, she enjoys
reading, travel, and Cleveland sports!

Mark Harris
Asst Coach: Develop/Pre-Comp
Email
Mark joined our coaching staff in September, 2009. He
attended Wall Township High School in New Jersey. He
played football and was a member of the state championship
team in 2003. He also earned a 4-year letter in varsity
swimming.
Mark attended Baldwin Wallace College where he earned a Bachelor
of Arts Degree in Sports Management. This past spring, he
completed his Master of Arts Degree in Exercise, Leisure, and
Sports with a concentration in physical education K-12 at Kent
State University. At Baldwin Wallace he swam 4 years on the
varsity team. He was a "B" finalist in the 50 and 100
freestyle at the OAC's.
While at Baldwin Wallace he was an assistant swim coach.
He helped coach the Rocky River High School team this part school
year (09-10).
Mark is single but has been dating Deborah for the past two
years. He has a dog named Tristin. Mark enjoys
working out and is a fan of Cleveland sports teams.
Stephanie Markley
Ass't Coach: Junior Group

Stephanie joined LSSC as an Assistant Coach in April,
2010. She is currently the Head Swim Coach at Saint Joseph
Academy in Lakewood, OH. She began her coaching career as an
assistant for the Mansfield Middle School swim team. She also
coached the Baldwin Wallace College swim camp and was head coach of
the Berea Recreation swim team.
Stephanie attended Mansfield Senior High School and earned 4
year varsity letters in swimming, cross country and track.
She was the team MVP for both cross country and swimming. She
was a national qualifer in the 50 and 100 freestyle as part of the
Mansfield Waves Swim Team, as well as a 4 year district qualifier
in swimming and a member of the OCC championship swim
team.
Stephanie graduated from Baldwin Wallace
College majoring in middle childhood education, history,
and English. She continued her swimming career at BW where
she was a 4 year varsity swimmer. She is the school record
holder in the 100 and 200 breaststroke, and a member of the record
holding 200 and 400 freestyle relays. She was the most
valuable swimmer in 2008, a member of the OAC record holding 400
freestyle relay, a member of the 2005 OAC championship team, and
Academic All OAC.
Stephanie teaches 7th grade language arts at Garfield Heights
Middle School. She is currently pursuing a Masters Degree in
Guidance Couseling from Cleveland State University. She
enjoys running and competiting in road races, and will participate
in LSSC's new Master's swimming program. Stephanie's home is
ruled by two cats - Jade and Lily.
Sara Verderber
Asst Coach: Sub

Sara spent two
years as the head swim coach at Avon High School. She swam
for the University of Miami (Florida). Sara also swam at
Lakewood High School and set a school record for the 500 Free and
was a member of a record setting 200 Medley Relay. Her
favorite events are: 400IM and 1650 Free. Sara is a 4th
grade teacher in the Avon schools. She is married to Jason,
they welcomed their son Riley in December. (The couple also has two
dogs - Buckeye and Snowball.)
